Dental prophylaxis<\/h2>\n<\/div>

Prophylaxis is defined as “all the means put in place to prevent the occurrence of a disease”.
\nIt prevents the appearance of cavities and decay and aims to maintain the results of dental care.
\nThe decay, loosening and loss of teeth that can result are not inevitable. If today, the clinical examination of your mouth reveals a satisfactory state and that your oral condition does not present any symptoms commonly encountered in dentistry, this state of health remains precarious.<\/p>\n

The statistics are explicit: only 5% of the population will not experience tooth disease.<\/p>\n

In our dental practice<\/a>, we do everything possible to prevent the onset of caries or periodontal disease (decay) and to stop it from developing and worsening.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Consequently, a prophylactic follow-up program is proposed to you to avoid the appearance and development of oral bacterial diseases.
\nProphylactic care replaces traditional scaling, the results of which are largely insufficient to prevent decay and protect against cavities.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Periodontal disease<\/h2><\/div>
<\/div>
\n

Periodontal diseases are bacterial (microbial) infections that affect and destroy the tissues that surround and support the teeth (the periodontium). The tissues involved are the gum, the attachment fibers (ligament or desmodont) and the bone that supports the teeth.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Carious disease<\/h2><\/div>
<\/div>

Caries is an infectious disease caused by germs in the mouth. Food deposits and sugars promote the proliferation of cariogenic bacteria harmful to oral health.
\nCauses of the disease: Your mouth contains, and it is normal, many microbes. Some are “friendly” and some are “hostile”.<\/p>\n

Among these, there are some that cause cavities. When these two categories are in balance, you are in good dental health and do not develop cavities. Under certain conditions, hostile microbes can build up in your mouth, feeding on sugars in your food and producing acids. It is these acids that “decay” the teeth.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Prevention<\/h2><\/div>

\n

Tooth decay is, along with tooth decay, one of the two most common infections in humans. Today, we have the means to stop it, to restore the damage it has caused, to ensure the duration of the restoration and to avoid the recurrence of this disease. The first stages of the caries are reversible thanks to medicamentous treatments in local application: they are the prophylactic treatments in surface.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
