TREATING AND RESOLVING ENAMEL DISEASE

Conservative care,

It is important to see a dentist at least once a year for an oral check-up.
Thus, if there are cavities, simple solutions can be provided (care and prevention), a cleaning will be performed to remove plaque and tartar. Advice will be given to improve brushing, and additional care may be recommended if needed.

In case of pain, we receive patients in emergency within 24 to 48 hours.

For small cavities, a composite will be used to rebuild the tooth, amalgams (gray-metal fillings) are no longer used in the practice.

To reduce the appearance of cavities in children, as well as for certain tasks, it is possible to carry out an infiltration of resin in order to look after the enamel and return its homogeneous aspect.

It is sometimes necessary to devitalize the tooth if the decay is too deep and the tooth is painful. This tooth may require more extensive reconstruction than a simple composite, an onlay or crown may be necessary.

We always prefer solutions that preserve as much dental tissue as possible.
